It’s also important to note that no one on board should be consuming alcohol. Too big and it will be difficult to maintain control.Īs with any water sport, we recommend wearing a life jacket at all times and always exerting safety measures when boating, including having a spotter who watches the wakeboarder for the driver. If the board is too small for you, you’ll likely sink. In addition to finding a board with the right skill level for your current needs, you also want one that is a good fit for your size. Beginner boards are usually slower with a larger fin, making it easier to learn, while advanced boards have a smaller fin You may want to snag the same board the pros use but learning to wakeboard on a beginner board will likely serve you better in the long run. Single tip means the same foot is always forward, while twin-tip means you can switch the lead foot. Though the costs of entry are high, mainly because a motorboat is needed, actual wakeboards are low to moderately priced. Overall I think that this resort is top notch and would highly recommend it.Wakeboarding is a fun sport that can be done by enthusiasts of any age. Lots of parking is available and free and you will need a car to get anywhere on the island. You have to ask for a blanket when you check in and they are limited in number. One issue that North Americans will struggle with is that the beds only have a top sheet on them. The restaurant dinner menu is limited and I would only rate the food quality as 3* with the exception of the Jack Daniels cheeseburger which is 5*. The beach bar ambiance is fantastic and there is nightly live music. You can always exchange your towels for clean ones no questions asked at any time. Rooms are only cleaned every 3 days but you know this in advance and they have brooms and dustbins for sweeping up. Lots of lounge chairs and you have chairs on your patio. Our room overlooked the ocean and was stunning. We made breakfast in our room daily and had everything that we needed. Rooms are excellent size and each unit has a kitchen which is very well stocked. Thank you again for the hospitality, We Love Bonaire." So keep moving forward with the plans for the future and we will gladly come back. The property is well taken care and was evident every morning. The outside Palm bar was fun and run well. Having 18th Palm site here was also a plus for me as I am an avid snorkeler and I love being able to walk right in from the beach to snorkel when I feel like it. I saw that they really treated the divers well and was impressed by this. I look forward to returning to this resort and bringing more friends with us. Plaza Beach could use a boutique for some shopping for me. We were able to walk to town and enjoy some local fare and support the local businesses. The only improvement for me would be fresh brewed coffee, not a fan of instant or the specialty coffee machine. I appreciated the filtered tasty water and the water bottle. The pool is beautiful and I like that there is not any chlorine in it. Our room was very comfortable and we liked the location on the second floor with a pool/ocean view. Even though it was fully booked, it didn't feel overcrowded. The food was quite good, and the theme nights fun. "I like that this property is small, easy to navigate, all employees were friendly, helpful, courteous, kind and knowledgeable.
